Simple

I love how simple it was to get this culture started and how it continues is to make good yogurt. I don't really like the taste of yogurt so I use it instead of milk on my oatmeal every morning and the consistency of Matsoni is perfect for it.

Good culture

I find this culture to have a good flavor. I liked it the best of the set of 4 from the Heirloom culture mix, so when I messed up those cultures, I just went back to this one.

Matsoni yogurt starter culture

The flavor is very good and yogurt-like, especially after adding a little bit of a sweetener such as maple syrup or honey, to taste. The yogurt is a bit on the watery side, but I assume it’ll get thicker with time and with continuous yogurt-making. I say this because I experienced the same thing a year ago with my buttermilk culture, it was kinda watery at first but got thicker over time, it took about
7-8 months of making buttermilk once per week.
