Viili Finnish Yogurt Starter

Viili yogurt, a Finnish yogurt variety, is very mild and creamy, with a fairly thick consistency. Viili is a versatile favorite that’s perfect on its own or in any yogurt recipe.

Just add your viili starter to cold milk and let it sit a room temperature for 12-24 hours. The resulting viili yogurt is not only delicious and full of probiotic goodness, but it serves as its own villi yogurt starter for your next batch of Finnish yogurt!

Easy to make and delicious.

Too thin

Not sure if it is me but I could not get this culture to thicken up. The flavor was nice but I prefer thicker yogurt. Let me know if I’m doing something wrong!!

The yogurt starter worked really well but the yogurt is too mild for us.

I loved the starter and will buy from Cultures for Health again, but we didn't like Villi yogurt (I really wanted to like it), it is too mild. We like tangy yogurt and this has no tangy to it.

Love it

I’ve enjoyed this website and these products. Customer service is pleasant a caring. I’ve had to send 1 product back and am waiting for a refund. Bought something not quite understanding the product. So far a good experience.

Good taste, but made only 2 batches

This yogurt has very nice taste and is great with fruit. I liked how easy it was to get started, but was disappointed when my third batch was a complete bust. It just wouldn’t set and turned into sour milk vs. creamy yogurt.
