Great results

With this starter, my cultured vegetables always turn out crunchy. I also love it for boosting the nutritional value of my cultured vegetables. I had cultured for years with just salt and sometimes salt and whey with varying results, but with this starter, I've been getting great results every time.

Cutting Edge Starter Culture for Fresh Vegetables- Excellent results.

I make both Kraut and Beet Kvass. I live in the deep south and during the rather hot summer months, I have had a problem with red and black mold forming, even though I keep the fermenting jars in a cool basement. Of course, increasing the percentage of salt would likely solve the problem, but my wife cannot tolerate "excessive" salt in her fermented vegetables. I add the Cutting Edge Starter Culture for Fresh Vegetable at the beginning of the fermentation process as well as a moderate amount of salt. I no longer have the mold problem.
