Kombucha Starter Culture

Love the easy instructions

Do you have 2 months to wait?

It works great. You just have to rehydrate the scoby for a month and then wait another month for your first batch of kombucha. If you don't have a friend who will give you a scoby, this is a good bet. It's just going to take a while.

Kombucha getting started!

Do you throw away the batch 2& 3 because on white vinegar .. I was in hospital so never put vinegar on coffee filter

It was dehydrated, didn’t expect that

I’ve brewed the first batch of kombucha using the glass jar from CFH, and a kombucha SCOBY from CFH, following the directions that came with the SCOBY. I’m on the second jar now and followed directions for the second fermentation of the 1st batch. The large batch tastes good and was in the right ph range after about 30 days, but we weren’t able to create the fizziness on second fermentation. I’m hoping now that the SCOBY is reconstituted and growing, things will change with the second fermentation of the next batch.
