What Our Customers Are Saying
I couldn't believe it was going to be so easy, but it was. Threw out the first batch as they recommended, but the second batch was perfect and I've been re-using now 3 of the 7-10 times the directions say you can re-use, and that's worked as promised.
This product was perfect for a short-term kefir relationship. It was easy to use and produced strong results including lovely kefir cream cheese and resultant whey for fermenting vegetables. It provided all of the benefits of infinite-use grains without the commitment!
I received the cultures in a timely manner. They came with clear directions for making my own kefir and have worked very well. I'm on my 4th or 5th batch and they are still working for me. I highly recommend them!
This is amazing stuff! Super simple and makes very good tasting milk or water kefir overnight. I will definitely purchase again!
Was so easy to make kefir
I wanted to try Kiefer milk but was hesitant to get the grains and do 4 cups a day--that's A LOT of milk and I wasn't sure if we could use it all. So I opted for the packets to try it out. It was incredibly easy (it's very similar to making buttermilk with the starter packets). There was no problem with getting it to culture and no problem culturing from that batch-- I did mine before putting the main in the fridge as I've heard it's easier to get subsequent batches to culture. It works great as a buttermilk substitute although I recommend culturing it for longer because it's flavor when mixed with pancake ingredients was milder. It also worked really well for soaking wheat flour to make homemade bread/buttermilk pancakes and using both of those made it so my husband who is really sensitive to wheat could eat them without any problems! Definitely worth it if you don't want to keep up with the grains but still want some in smaller quantities.
Pleased to have found Cultures for Health! Well done!
Inexpensive. Works quickly (overnight, in fact) in raw milk. Excellent results from the first batch. Have ordered and received (but not yet used) kefir grains. A bargain at twice the price! (But don't raise the price!!) I recommend kefir powder very highly.
It doesn’t seem to be doing anything to coconut milk. And did want a complete vegan vibe, prob my fault but don’t wanna keep trying to make a vegan kefir curd it’ll change my game on the vegan cheese front!
